Whilst growing the hair you’ve always dreamed of seems like a myth, it isn’t. It’s perfectly possible to grow longer, shinier and healthier hair.

But the question is, how?

Is there a magic pill or potion? While there are no quick fix solution, taking a healthy dose of collagen and omegas can help to support protein bonds that keep hair strong and long. CHIOMA Omega Glow and CHIOMA Collagen Glow are two herbal supplements that can help to support hair health and growth.

Dealing with hair loss or thinning hair may be a result of hormonal imbalances that lead to excessive male hormones in a female body. Supplementing with DIM or other herbs that may function as a natural anti androgen can help to control these excessive male hormones and improve hair health. CHIOMA Spearmint BB Tea combines powerful herbs that have been researched for their natural anti androgen properties such as spearmint, white peony, licorice and green tea.

There are however, 5 things you can do to achieve your hair goals.

Tips on How to Grow Hair Long & Strong

Secret #1: Banish comparison syndrome.

We all do this one thing that destroys us most, comparing ourselves to others. Sadly, constantly comparing yourself is detrimental and can lead to low self-esteem, vulnerability and clouded judgment.

Yes, it’s totally normal to acknowledge the appearance of another woman’s hair, but using it as a mechanism for criticizing your own isn’t healthy and will only make you feel worse about yourself.

Secret #2: Stop being a negative nelly.

Many of us have negative, limiting beliefs. These are voices, which tell us that our hair is ‘ugly’, ‘ruined’ and incapable of getting better. These negative voices convince us that we don’t deserve to have the length or strength of hair that we are capable of having. Whenever you hair these negative voices- pause and stop.

Don’t give them any further thought and replace them with positive thoughts or affirmations. For instance, ‘rather than telling yourself that your hair isn’t good enough, swap those negative thoughts with ‘my hair is growing stronger each day.’

If there is ever a tip on how to grow hair long that you decide to follow, this should be it. The mind is the most powerful part of the human makeup, powerful enough to impact hair length and growth.

Secret #3: Get clued up.

Contrary to popular belief, growing gorgeous tresses isn’t rocket science. However, it’s imperative that you learn healthy hair practices that will teach you what to do and what to avoid when it comes to your hair.

It’s therefore essential to educate yourself on the basics. This can mean reading hair and beauty magazines or reading books. Do you dream of having a Rapunzel-like mane or would you prefer to have hair that’s medium-length but in great condition?

What’s your goal? There’s no right or wrong answer- it’s totally down to you. Take a moment to write down your personal hair goal and jot down 3 things you’ll do to achieve it.

Will you trim more often, moisturise daily or wear protective hairstyles? Think about what you want for your hair and create a simple yet actionable plan for achieve it.

Step #5: Take action!

On top of learning about hair care, it’s important to not just read the information and then forget about it. It’s essential to take action! Begin implementing what you learn as quickly as possible.

If you’re stuck for time, simply jot down notes in a hair journal and then take 5-10 minutes a day to skim over the notes and tick off the tips you’ve followed during the day. The more you begin implementing healthy hair strategies, the quicker you’ll start to see progress.
